3. Cookies & Local Storage
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. We also use browser local storage to remember your preferences. We use the following categories of cookies:
| Category | Purpose | Required |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Keep you logged in to your dealer account; your cookie choice itself is remembered in browser local storage | Yes |
| Security | Protect forms from automated abuse (via Google reCAPTCHA) | Yes |
| Analytics | Measure site traffic and usage patterns (via Google Analytics) — only activated with your consent | No |
You can change your cookie choices at any time using the "Cookie Preferences" link in the website footer, or by clearing your browser's cookies and site data. Analytics cookies are set only if you click "Accept" on our cookie banner. The session and reCAPTCHA cookies are essential to the functionality of the site and cannot be disabled. Our website does not respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals; analytics cookies are controlled through the consent banner alone.
4. How We Use Your Information
- To process dealer applications and manage dealer accounts
- To respond to contact form inquiries
- To send order confirmations and account-related emails
- To send newsletter updates — only if you subscribe, and you can unsubscribe at any time by contacting us
- To analyze website traffic and improve our services (with consent)
- To protect against fraud and unauthorized access
5. Third-Party Services
We rely on a limited number of service providers to operate our website and services. Where a provider processes personal information on our behalf, we require appropriate safeguards. Our service providers include:
- Google Analytics: Website traffic analysis (with consent). Google's Privacy Policy
- Google reCAPTCHA: Bot protection on forms. Google's Privacy Policy

- Email delivery: A third-party email service provider delivers our transactional and account-related emails
- Hosting & storage: Our website, database, and uploaded documents are hosted with established cloud infrastructure providers
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
We may disclose personal information where required or permitted by law, including in response to a court order, subpoena, or other lawful request from a public authority.
If Coremax is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of its business, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy and applicable law.
6. Data Storage & Cross-Border Transfer
Your personal information may be stored and processed on servers located outside of Canada, including in the United States, by the service providers described in Section 5. While your information is in another jurisdiction, it may be accessible to the courts, law enforcement, and national security authorities of that jurisdiction in accordance with its laws. By using our website and services, you consent to this transfer and processing. We take reasonable steps to ensure our service providers protect personal information consistent with PIPEDA requirements.
7. Data Security
We protect personal information using administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to its sensitivity. These include encryption of data in transit, storage of passwords only in one-way hashed form, and access controls that limit who can view your information.
In the event of a breach of security safeguards creating a real risk of significant harm, we will notify affected individuals and report to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as required by law. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy and to meet our legal obligations. Dealer account and transaction records are retained for the duration of the business relationship and for the retention periods required by Canadian tax and accounting law. Contact form submissions are retained only as long as needed to handle the inquiry and for our business records.
You may request deletion of your personal information at any time; we will delete it unless we are required or permitted by law to retain it (for example, records of transactions that must be kept under Canadian tax law).
9. Children's Privacy
Our website and services are intended for businesses and their authorized representatives and are not directed at minors. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of majority. If we become aware that we have done so, we will delete that information promptly.
